What's next for GescoFAB

GescoFAB is a company specialized in the design and production of superior quality, cutting-edge conveyors.  Today, GescoFAB is working to develop new markets and to consolidate its position as an industry leader. Based in Montreal, GescoFAB designs, produces and installs basic and complex materials handling systems for companies with production lines requiring the transportation of containers of all kinds. In addition to its range of conveyor models, GescoFAB also produces automated sorting systems and robotic palletizing and depalletizing cells. GescoFAB has multiple solutions for diverse client needs.

Since GescoFAB was acquired by Premier Tech Systems (PTS) in March 2008, the company has wielded increased buying power and received improved technical and technological support. “The supply chain synergy with PTS allows GescoFAB to purchase raw materials at lower prices and offer ever more competitive solutions,” says Michel Noreau, vice-president of operations at PTS. As for PTS, it now offers a more comprehensive line of products aimed at the industrial sector. Moreover, FANUC Robotics North America—a privileged partner of PTS—works with GescoFAB towards the ultimate goal of providing efficient solutions to the robotics challenges of current and future customers.

 

GescoFAB adds value to its products and services by integrating industrial data processing. through its partnership with Roche-Cadec Consulting Group Ltd, GescoFAB implements automated systems that boost client performance and competitiveness. Services include the automation of production lines, control of commodity flows and data compilation. Industrial data processing enables GescoFAB clients to minimize their labour costs, manage their product inventory more effectively, and optimize their delivery schedule.

 

At the moment, 95% of GescoFAB's commercial activities are in the Montreal region. The company's management is now working to develop new markets in Quebec and Ontario by showcasing GescoFAB's 20 years of experience. "Our short-term objective is to increase our share of Ontario's market," said GescoFAB Vice-President of Sales, Robin Perrault. In the longer run, GescoFAB's objective is to expand into the Maritimes and New England.
